A blockchain app based on SONR that encourages people to meet up and link. It creates unique NFT-like SONR transactions for each unique encounter between users.

Inspiration

The inspiration for Meet Link was to use blockchain technology to encourage real-life social interactions. In an increasingly digital age, we believe in the importance of face-to-face connections and wanted to create a system that incentivizes such meetings. Utilizing the unique capabilities of SONR, we created a cross-platform mobile app that allows users to collect unique "tokens" for each unique encounter with another person.

What it does

Meet Link is a mobile application that encourages users to go outside and meet others by collecting NFT-like transactions for each unique encounter. Users can build friendships through repetition, as subsequent tokens can be collected after each 24-hour interval. Upon registration, users receive a crypto address associated with their account and can easily "meet" with others by scanning a barcode within the app.

How we built it

We built Meet Link using SONR as our primary blockchain technology. The app was developed as a cross-platform application using Flutter, a UI toolkit for building natively compiled applications, while the backend was designed using web3, a collection of libraries that allows you to interact with a local or remote Ethereum node.

What's next for Meet Link

We envision Meet Link to continuously evolve, improving the user experience and expanding our user base. Future features could include implementing a reward system based on the number of unique encounters, integration with other social media platforms for expanded discoverability, and more advanced security measures for the protection of user data.
